Haseeb Rasul was last seen at around 10.40pm on Sunday, August 27 boarding the FX24 Stagecoach Bus at Buchanan Street Bus Station within Glasgow City Centre.
The destination was Glenrothes.
Haseeb is around 5ft. 7 inches tall, with black hair.
When last seen, he was wearing all-black clothing, including black trainers and carrying a black Air Jordan school bag.
Police are now asking anyone with information to come forward.
They wrote on X (previously known as Twitter): “Have you seen Haseeb Rasul? He is 16 and has been missing from Glasgow since Sunday, August 27.
“He may have travelled to Glenrothes.
“If you have seen him or have any information, please call us on 101, quoting incident number 1028.”
